Profiel

I lives in Osaka. Started classical violin at the age of five. Graduated from Osaka College of Music, majoring in stringed instruments, and completed the same graduate school.

While still in school, I participated in overseas seminars and festivals to study solo and chamber music. Performed chamber music with students of University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory at the Kyoto International Music Student Festival sponsored by the Roam Music Foundation, a gathering of music students selected from around the world. After that, I belonged to the Osaka Chamber Orchestra, appeared in numerous concerts, and worked as an extra member of professional orchestras such as City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, and Osaka Symphony Orchestra. For a year, as an educational assistant and part-time lecturer at Osaka College of Music, I taught younger generations in orchestra, string ensemble, chamber music classes, etc.

As a soloist, in 1993 and 1996, the College Opera House Orchestra and Dvorak Concerto (The College Opera House), Saint-Saens Concerto (Izumi Hall), and others Received a recommendation and performed at the 40th and 43rd Asahi Recommended Concerts (Symphony Hall) sponsored by Asahi Shimbun. Passed the newcomer audition of Japan International League of Artists and performed at the newcomer recommended concert (Sunny Hall, Nippori). In the 1999 Opera House Chamber Music Series, Japan's leading performer, Tomotada Soh (violin), I co-starred chamber music with Hirofumi Fukai (viola) and Fumiaki Kono (cello), and the situation was aired.

I met Irish Fiddle when I was a student. Invited by a classmate who was studying folk music, and I became interested in it.The Irish music of the island nation that is born from the relationship between people and the relationship between people and nature became fascinated, and I began to explore the Irish fiddle.

After working as an Irish band around 1998, since 2000, with guitarist Toshihide Tenma formed ROOTS. Started playing with original arrangements centered on Irish and Scottish folk songs.

In 2002, with the support of the Japanese Embassy, a concert was held at the Grand Theater in Swansey, England. It was reported in local newspapers and gained popularity.

In 2004 Co-starred with Bob Dylan's partner Scarlet Rivera and Eric Wrigler, a pipe player known for movies "Troy" and "Titanic" soundtrack performance.
After that, participated as a guest on a tour of Stefan Grossman, known as a country blues evangelist, and Tony McManus, who is said to be the best Celtic guitarist in the world.

We was also interested in Japanese music which is our roots. Sympathized with Koichi Kishi, a composer from Suita City, Osaka, and paformed his "works for violin and piano" by guitar and violin.

In 2008, at the 8th anniversary of the formation of ROOTS, as the culmination of 8 years of ROOTS, Celtic Live &Koichi Kishi's work collection and ballet will hold a collaboration event, and an interview will be published in the Asahi Shimbun and Yomiuri Shimbun.

In 2011, I studied Scottish with a scholarship at the Sierra Fiddle Camp, which is directed by Scottish fiddler Alasder Freisa.

Received the Suita City Cultural Achievement Award in 2014.

Currently working as a violinist, fiddler, I have been presiding over the violin / fiddle classroom since 2019, teaching lessons and ensemble, as well as a music atelier for people with disabilities.

With the aim of "connecting with oneself and expressing more freely," I also hold music courses, workshops, and individual sessions that incorporate elements of arts therapy and Yoga of the Voice.
